Packaging distributor Rajapack UK has changed its name to RAJA UK, a move the Bedfordshire-based supplier says brings it in line with the brand its parent group uses across Europe.
The company, which has supplied UK businesses since 1998, says it serves more than 43,000 customers in the country. Adopting the group name gives those customers one recognisable brand across the 19 European countries where the RAJA Group operates.
The RAJA Group was founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher, whose first names were combined to create the company name.
Alongside the rebrand, RAJA UK has introduced a free Prepare for Peak tool designed to help businesses work out what their busiest weeks will cost their packing operation and where savings might be made, ahead of Black Friday on 27 November. Users pick their industry to see how far orders typically rise at peak, based on benchmarks that blend Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data covering 2023 to 2025, then enter their own figures such as parcels handled per day and the number of people packing. The output is described as an illustrative estimate rather than a quotation.
Managing director Tom Rodda said that while the name has changed, what customers rely on has not: the same people, the same product range and the same next-day service. He added that with peak trading only weeks away, the new tool is intended to make planning easier by putting a figure on the cost of the busiest weeks.
