Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a modular smart-pole system that combines Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and EV-charging capabilities in a vertical pole. The company says the system is designed to be easy to activate and install while allowing customization and future adaptability through modular components.
The relaunch responds to rising customer expectations as public spaces add single-purpose pole sensors, cameras, lighting and connectivity infrastructure in places where space is at a premium. Municipalities, campuses and commercial developers are looking for ways to expand site functionality without adding visual clutter or additional cost, according to the company. The company says the system consolidates those capabilities into one adaptable system.
What the system integrates
SHUFFLE stacks Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and EV-charging capabilities into one pole. Its integrated design is intended to bring modern aesthetics and efficiencies to busy, multi-use environments.
Landscape Forms has also simplified configuration with a new build feature on its website. Clients can specify preferred camera and technology brands and choose among options within each.
New features and applications
New feature updates are described as plug-and-play options and include a 360-degree area light, a decorative light ring, a 180-degree area light, quad-view and 180-degree cameras, motion sensors, and loudspeaker and intercom modules.
The modular design can be configured for specialized environments and general public spaces, providing an added measure of security and convenience where people gather to work, travel, study and recreate.
Target applications include university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals.
Company positioning
Shannon Lee, business development manager for smart poles at Schréder, said SHUFFLE was designed to fit the needs of busy public spaces with product and feature sets that can be updated as site needs evolve. "This is the solution site designers have been waiting for," Lee said. "Safety and connectivity are seamlessly integrated into outdoor spaces without dominating them, making the system easily accessible and user friendly."
Jordan Agustin, president of lighting at Landscape Forms, said the relaunch reflects technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics. He said new features integrated into SHUFFLE's streamlined design enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing the company's mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.
Landscape Forms positions SHUFFLE as one adaptable system for site managers managing a range of requirements, consolidating capabilities that might otherwise be added as separate pole-mounted devices.
