Aggreko adds three Tier 4 Final diesel generators built for remote Canadian sites

The 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW 600V units are sold exclusively to Canadian contractors and are configured to CSA and UN31A requirements, with onboard 600V output on the largest model.

Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed specifically for remote Canadian work sites, offered in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW 600V capacities. The units are available exclusively to Canadian contractors and, according to the company, are configured to meet and exceed local market needs and requirements.

All three models combine what Aggreko describes as its latest generator technologies with hardware tailored to Canadian operating conditions. They are aimed at commercial and industrial applications that need reliable, low-emissions power, and each is CSA and UN31A compliant to meet Canada's electrical and fuel regulations.

Onboard 600V output on the largest model

The 1200 kW unit carries 600V capability onboard, eliminating the need for an additional step-up transformer. Aggreko says that direct output reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and minimizes potential points of failure, an advantage it expects to matter most for large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.

Two deployment profiles

The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units intended for immediate energy needs, while the 1200 kW model is positioned for large industrial loads. The additions extend a Canadian fleet that Aggreko says spans 25 kW to 1200 kW, and the 1200 kW rating sets the ceiling of that range. Aggreko supplies the equipment as temporary power rather than permanent plant.

  • 145 kW and 210 kW: fast-deployment canopy units for near-term demand.
  • 1200 kW: larger industrial loads, including applications already running at 600V.

Why Canada, and where the power goes

Paul Nascimento, Aggreko's managing director for Canada, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers reflects the importance of the market. Large petrochemical and mining industries need power across vast and remote territories, he said, alongside thriving construction and data centre sectors — a combination he described as clear demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured.

Data centres are a specific target, and Aggreko describes Canada's expanding data centre industry as an especially good fit for the units. As provincial regulators look to limit how much power data centre operators pull from the grid, the company positions its Tier 4 Final generators as off-grid energy that can keep facilities operational with minimal disruption to communities.

The company says all three models deliver industry-leading fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements. Deployment runs through Aggreko's Canadian service centre network, whose energy experts work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power across a range of applications.
